In 2008, The UC Davis Design department celebrated the 75th year of the program. The celebration included the a project involving the construction of a timeline chronicling the history of design at UC Davis. The Design Museum at UC Davis gave the information to design students at UC Davis and asked them to develop a timeline with the information. They were looking for a timeline that was easily expandable left the rest up to the students.

My design was inspired by the idea that the various events were individual pieces along a single string of time and I wanted users of the timeline to interact with it in that fashion. Visitors pluck the string of events to retrieve blocks of information which they can move around, minimize and close.
